When I was in third grade, I got a notebook from Dollar Tree and wrote my first novel in it: In The Land of Tanburo. (Not to brag, but it was kind of a big deal in my cul-de-sac.) Since then, I’ve filled countless notebooks with stories. I’ve also not beaten the fan fiction allegations, and if you are so unfortunate as to stumble upon those pieces in the deep, dark recesses of the Way Old Internet, then you’ve earned the right to take a peek and cringe from secondhand embarrassment.
Whatever I’m writing, one thing’s for sure: I write the kind of stuff I want to read. I love immersive stories with a romantic undercurrent. I love reading characters that are hopelessly flawed but still endearing. I love when a grumpy character finds a bit of sunshine. I love when characters are unexpectedly soft with one another. I love to escape when I read and feel charmed (and maybe a little sad, too) when The End happens.
I was born and raised in Virginia. I was a high school correspondent at the local paper, graduated from James Madison University (go Dukes!), and served as Director of Public Relations for my Delta Gamma chapter. After graduating, I spent some time being An Actual Disney Princess, met my now-husband, and settled down in the Atlanta area. We’ve got two amazing sons, two male cats, and a male dog. I make up for all the testosterone by wearing dresses, enjoying flowers, watching romcoms, and reading romance.
When I’m not telling stories on the page (often), I’m telling stories on stage as an actor with a local semiprofessional theatre company. From Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible to Miss Scarlet in Clue, I love the roles I’ve played and consider it a privilege any time I get to be on stage.
My debut novel, Stage Mouse, was awarded the Maggie Award for Excellence by Georgia Romance Writers (Prepublished Historical Romance) in 2021 and will be published by mid-2026. I’m also working on my next novel—a fresh, fun, romcom take on the time travel trope—and I’m hoping to pitch that by the end of the year.
Wherever my pen and/or keyboard takes me, I’m grateful for the opportunity to create and be creative.
